Well, my sweet princess married her prince charming and now they are off into a fairy tale life together! More about the wedding later... I want to start journaling their life together, as they begin a wonderful adventure, the beginning of a new family!
We could have never dreamed that they would be so suitably matched and she would be so loved and blessed by a husband who wants for little but to please her!
In the first two weeks of their lives together they have already...
* had a beautiful cottage honeymoon on top of a small snow-covered mountain here in central Ohio.
* spent their first Thanksgiving holiday together with 40 friends and family.
* moved into their first home together!
* had dinner in a lovely restaurant on the Potomac River in Washington, DC.
* witnessed live, President George W. Bush, lighting the Christmas tree at the White House!
* just called to tell us that they took a spontaneous 2-day trip to New York City, without a bag, just decided to go... and went! They are staying in the fabulous 373 Fifth Ave Hotel! No doubt they will see many amazing sights while in NYC!
WOW! Who could ask for more? And their lives have just begun... they are so crazy in love!
We are thanking God for such a dear son-in-law, everyone should be so fortunate!

~*~Cinderella~*~
My daughters have always loved the Cinderella story, everything about it. The sweet innocense of Cinderella's humility. The fun dreams of Prince Charming. The happily everafter of it all!
When I first heard Steven Curtis Chapman's song ~Cinderella~ I cried... it is so touching. When I heard him tell the story of why he wrote it, I cried, because it tells his story of watching his little ones, and thinking of his oldest daughter. And as my own firstborn is becoming a young woman and I know we will lose her to her Prince Charming someday, too soon, I cry once again!
The lyrics are so beautiful, so tender, I want to have it here, where I can access it easily, for those days when all I want is a good cry, followed by a sweet smile!
**Cinderella**
by Steven Curtis Chapman
She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sitting here wearing the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"
Chorus:
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone.
Verse 2:
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancin'
"Oh please, daddy , please!"
Chorus:
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
Verse 3:
But she came home today with a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says, "Dad the wedding's still six months away but I need to practice my dancin'
"Oh please, daddy , please!"
Chorus:
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

I collect quotes...
Crying is all right in its way while it lasts.
But you have to stop sooner or later,
and then you still have to decide what to do.

A place to keep special things...
This is crazy! I never thought I would be interested in the blog-world... but have just been made aware of a wonderful reason to have a blog-- to keep my special stuff here. Things I want to remember, and have when I need access to them. Kind of a treasure box of printed materials. A place where I, with limited memory, can record the special things in my life.
This IS crazy! (In a great way!)
